Freedom of Press Statement
Student publications guard freedom of the press as a right of people in a free society. It carries with it freedom and responsibility to discuss, question and challenge actions and statements of the student body, administration and public figures. Student journalists hold the right to speak unpopular opinions and the privilege to agree with the majority.
The Chronicle is a public forum of speech that is produced by students of Franklin High School once a month. Bylined columns represent the writerís opinion while editorials are designed to persuade, warn, criticize, inform or inspire.
